Wedding Cake Photos

I can't help but name my wedding cakes after the brides who chose them. To me a wedding cake consists of so many hopes and dreams all culminating in a tangible vision that truly reflects a bride's style.

The Larissa

This cake is a wonderful example of how you can combine elements of fun with beauty. This bird lover's cake sat atop a custom made grapevine wreath stand. Adorable!

The Julie

Cherry blossoms! Cherry blossoms! Cherry blossoms! The perfect cake for a beautiful Spring wedding. I seriously LOVED this cake (and EVERYTHING about the entire reception - it was GORGEOUS!).

Spring Cascade

This is a cake I made for the 2012 Spring Bridal shows. Everything, except for the topper, was handmade by me.

I love how the sugar flowers for this cake turned out! The biggest compliment I had? A florist saw the cake and said she didn't realize the flowers weren't real!

The Alysia

Fondant iced hexagon in ivory with a full cascade of handmade fondant Autumn leaves. Custom made moose topper.

Pure Bliss

This was a display I did for the 2013 bridal show. Pure and lovely with white stephanotis, roses and lily of the valley. Perfect for the bride who wants something simply elegant.

The Rebecca

Black and white hand piping matched the couple's invitation design. The bride's dress design was incorporated into the cake when the sash was replicated.

The Tara

The theme - feathers and pearls. Layers of white almond sour cream cake with fresh raspberry puree filling alternated with layers of red velvet and buttercream. All covered in homemade fondant. Everything but the sash is edible.

The Melissa

Buttercream iced cake with gold ribbon and a full cascade of hand made and dusted Autumn leaves.

The Kristen

Woodland Whimsy was the theme for this sweet wedding cake. The cake is covered in fondant, with custom sugar leaves and flowers. The topper was also custom made according to the bride's description.

The Courtney

The bride wanted something simple and elegant that would set off the handcrafted topper that she had made. I think she chose wonderfully with this cake!

Handcrafted sugarflowers topped this elegant fondant cake.

Autumn Splendor

Gold accents and fondant hand-made leaves made this simple and elegant fall themed wedding cake all that it is.

The Lauren

How much fun is this cake? It's such a treat to occasionally get to do a cake that's different from the norm. When Lauren came to me with this design I couldn't wait to get started! Everything you see was hand made, even down to the happy couple's little cat and dog!

From the handmade intertwined twig hearts to the carved initials - everything about Jordan's rustic themed wedding cake screamed love!

The Rachel

The simplicity of this cake is what made it so elegant, I think. Buttercream icing and handcrafted sugar hydrangeas added a spring-like touch.

Kara's wedding cake was buttercream iced, decorated with scrolled icing accents and a monogram and topped with hand-crafted sugarflowers.

The Nicole

A wedding cake for hunters! Buttercream iced and accented with authentic Mossy Oak Break Up ribbon. I thought this topper was just perfect for the bride and groom that hunt!

Delicate apple blossoms adorned this little cake that was perfect for a small wedding.

Vintage Carnival

This was a "dummy" cake I made for an inspiration shoot that I did with the awesome Jen McKen (photos) and wonderful NickiAnn Events. We all had a great deal of fun with this theme. If you're looking for a photographer or wedding planner, these are the ladies you want to go to!

The Stargazer

Handmade stargazer lilies adorn this offset square cake with pink stenciling.

The Linsey

Rose stenciling and silver ribbon were the decorations that complemented this simple, but elegant cake.

The Genesis

I really loved the deep teal color for the roses that accented this cake. I thought it was all so pretty with the vintage wedding topper that the bride borrowed from her grandmother. Lovely!

Aryn and her husband had their first date at Yellow Creek by the water lilies. She wanted her cake to recreate the look with a beautiful waterfall effect.

Laken wanted a Tuscan themed wedding cake that was pretty and elegant. I loved making the grapes and seeing how realistic we could get them!

The Shannon

This cake was chosen by a bride that lives out of state, so we never got to meet until the actual wedding day! I love the use of the shade of white on each other and the bling of the flowers.

I loved the simplicity of this cake and the topper I was asked to make, When you see it next to the groom's cake (check it out in the gallery), you'll understand why this simple, beautiful cake was just perfect!

This was the cake that allowed me to try some new techniques and combine a variety of beautiful and elegant options for a cake.
